It's true. They canned Veronica Mars.
My introduction to Veronica Mars was in December. Freshly graduated, depressed and dog sitting, I popped in the first DVD from the first season and was hooked. Sure, the show is far from perfect, but I have a soft spot for detective stories and plucky female leads. Heck, it was good enough for me to start watching it every Tuesday night, taking away from valuable gaming/internet/anime time. This third season has been pretty disappointing, but I had a lot of hope that it was going to get better again.

Well, not like I affect the ratings anyway because I'm in Japan and only get my American TV through DVDs...
BUT, I do have to say that I was all geared up to buy Season 2 until I read up on some nasty little plotlines that cropped up in the show. I like my entertainment without glaring misogyny, TYVM.
So I can't say that I'm upset that it's canceled, but I ceased to have a stake in the show long ago...
Yep, Season 3 has been mighty disappointing. Season 2 is better--though there are some weird parts too.
I was wondering if some of the writers changed or something.
